In The Company of Women is a retreat for members of American Women Artists taking place April 22 – 26, 2026, in Nashville, TN with an exhibition reception and awards ceremony in Clarksville, TN. The Symposium of Women in the Arts and the Of Mark & Meaning Exhibition Reception are open to the public. Wednesday, April 22, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  AWA Member Welcome at Holiday Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown – Broadway

Thursday April 23, 2026 – 9:00 a.m.- 1:00p.m. – Plein Air Paint-Out on the grounds of a local cultural treasure sponsored by PleinAir Magazine with media award for winner! Register your interest for this session now and we will send you our big announcement soon with more details!

Thursday April 23, 2026 – 3:30p.m. – Country Music Hall of Fame and Haley Gallery Tour

Friday April 24, 2026 – 9:30a.m.- 11:30a.m. – Member Breakfast and Master Signature Member Induction sponsored by ShipandInsure.com

Friday April 24, 2026 – 1:00 p.m. – Tour at the Frist Art Museum of the exhibition In Her Place by Senior Curator Katie Delmez. 

Friday April 24, 2026 – 3:30 p.m. – Bus loads for closing reception and awards ceremony for Of Mark & Meaning: American Women Artists at the Customs House Museum in Clarksville. Exhibition Reception is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Saturday April 25, 2026 – 9:00 a.m. AWA Members Cruzzin’ Nashville Tour

Saturday April 25, 2026 – 12:00 pm – 5:30 p.m. The Symposium of Women in the Arts at the Frist Art Museum with a keynote by renown artist, author, and arts leader . This event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.

Room block at Holiday Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown - Broadway open until April 1, 2025. Click here to reserve Please note that the rate will say $239 plus $20 for a destination fee. The destination fee will be waived upon arrival. Parking Fee is $40 per night, but no need for a car if you are flying in! Everything is within walking distance except the exhibition reception and Paint Out and we will shuttle you for those events!
